Judge Asks New York Times To Testify in Sarah Palin Defamation Lawsuit

 

In June, Sarah Palin brought a lawsuit against The New York Times for an editorial which linked her to mass shooting in January 2011. The Times subsequently issued a correction, tweeted an apology, and requested that the case be dismissed. Judge Jed S. Rakoff of Federal District Court for the Southern District of New York, who is hearing the case, requested the Times to testify so he could better determine whether or not to grant the motion.
