The conference was presented by Duquesne University and The Pittsburgh Foundation, in cooperation with the National Constitution Center.

First Amendment Watch’s Stephen Solomon participated in a panel discussion on “The First Amendment in American History: Five Pillars of Freedom” and presented to high school students on the topic “From Liberty Tree to Taking a Knee” along with Mary Beth Tinker, plaintiff in the 1969 Supreme Court case Tinker v Des Moines.
