Harvey Weinstein Hired Investigators To Intimidate Journalists

In an explosive New Yorker piece, Ronan Farrow details how Harvey Weinstein hired “private security agencies to collect information on the women and the journalists trying to expose the allegations” of sexual abuse against him. Tactics included “intelligence which will help the Client’s [identified as Weinstein in other papers Ronan researched] efforts to completely stop the publication of a new negative article in a leading N.Y. newspaper,” gathering personal information on reporters profiling Weinstein and contracting an “investigative journalist” to conduct interviews and report back. On The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Farrow also spoke about how he was threatened.
