Ava Sjursen is a student at Boston College studying political science, communication, and journalism. She previously interned with the Future of Free Speech at Vanderbilt University, where she produced content examining domestic and international challenges to freedom of speech and the press. Her current honors thesis compares competing definitions of free speech in the development of the public interest standard and Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act.
